(If you have the phone and the standard acquisition keeps failing, connect your iPhone to your computer, pull up iTunes, and right click on the device in iTunes and hit backup. Follow the rest of the instructions.) You must first find out what version of iOS your iPhone is running. You can check by going under Settings>General>About>Version 1‐2.x/3.x/4.x on your phone. Each randomly named folder will be a DIFFERENT BACKUP, from a DIFFERENT DEVICE. Once you've selected the manifest.plist the acquisition will start. Can I get a backup from a Mac computer and copy it over to a windows computer?
