To change the zone types, you enter programming with * 8 5555 The section related to zone types for zones 1-16 is section 001, so you'd press 001 The very next 2 digit entry, fills in the zone type for zone 1 and moves you to the zone 2 , entering a 2 digit zone type for zone 2 will automatically step you to zone 3,...etc

So to change zone 3 from an instant type zone to a delay type zone, you will have to input the 2 digit zone types for zones 1 and 2 first, then I would press 01 and this will change zone 3 to a delay zone type..

Here is an example of all keys pressed to change zone 3 into a delay 1 zone type, from an instant zone type.

Zone 1 will be a motion

Zone 2 will be an instant door for example.

Press * 8 5555 001 05 03 01 # # (the # key is used to exit the location, then to exit programming all together.
